Neptune 4 Printers TL4970, TL4972, TL4974, TL4976 - Klipper Stepper error message

Issue

The printer stops and goes to a Klipper screen that says: Stepper_x/y/z reports error: DRV_STATUS: 00xxxxxx otpw=1.

Cause

The motherboard is not getting enough cooling, and the motor driver component is overheating. The fan underneath the front of the printer that cools the motherboard should be running whilst the printer is printing.

Fix

Test the fan: go into the settings on the display and move the Fan switch to ON. Then lift the front of the printer and check the fan under the front of the printer is spinning. 

Make sure the fan vents are not blocked by anything lying under the base. 

If you have recently removed and reinstalled the base plate, make sure the fan is plugged into the correct fan header socket on the motherboard. 

If the fan is full of dust, clean it and make sure it spins freely. If it does not, replace it.
