How to remove the latch from fridge lids

The lid shown below is from GH2068 - other fridges are similar.

Lift the lid and use a flat blade to gently pry under the latch at the outside edge

Do not push the screwdriver in too far, just near the edge is fine.

Now pry towards the middle

Finally pry the other end

The latch lifts off

To install, place the latch so the pivots line up with the wire, and tap it into place
