What happens to my Nextech GPS tracker when the 3G network is shut down?

The NZ mobile phone operators currently plan to close down all 3G support by late March 2025.

If you have a 3G GPS tracker (LA9026 or LA9028), it will no longer be able to connect to the tracker website and App once the telco has shut down their 3G network. Tracker data will no longer be uploaded. 

4G GPS trackers (LA9039 or LA9038) will continue to upload tracking, respond to SMS commands, and reply with SMS notifications and alarms after the 3G network is shut down.
