Connecting the PP2145 OBD-II Engine Code Reader with Apple or Android

The PP2145 OBD-II Engine Code Reader can be used to send data about your car from its OBDII port to your mobile device via Bluetooth. 

Setup process

Download the Mini OBDII App from the App store (Apple / Android)

Plug the PP2145 into your car's OBDII port (usually above the brake pedal under the dash)

Turn the car key to IGNITION or start the engine

Open the Mini OBDII App

Wait for the App to find the adapter, and work out what protocol the car is using

The the App should say Connected: OBDII, car data will appear within a minute

Note: You do not need to pair the PP2145 in the phone's Bluetooth settings screen. It will appear there after the App has successfully paired. 

If it does not connect in the App, or appear in Bluetooth settings, try turning Bluetooth off/on, or restart your phone, before opening the App again.
