Gift cards

Treat a friend or family member to a Jaycar gift card so they can choose what best suits their needs. Values range from $20 to $500. Gift cards can be purchased online here.

Jaycar gift cards have a generous 36 month expiry and available balance can be looked up on our website or in-store.

Where can I get a Jaycar gift card?

A Jaycar gift card can be purchased from any company-owned Jaycar store. Gift cards in-store can be purchased at values from $20 to $500, in increments of $10. Cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Cards cannot be used to buy another gift card. A trade card cannot be used to receive a discount on a gift card. Gift cards are available online in limited pre-set values and are posted. Gift cards cannot be purchased via Click & Collect.

Validity and expiry of gift cards

The value on the gift card is valid for 36 months from the date of purchase. After this period the balance on the card may be wiped and the card can no longer be used.

Jaycar gift cards are currently available as physical cards only and not available via electronic delivery.

Re-issue of faulty or damaged cards

Treat your gift card like cash, if it is lost or damaged it cannot be refunded. If it is proven that a manufacturing defect prevents the card from being used, a refund or replacement will be made available. A 7-day return policy applies for gift cards proven to be defective due to manufacturing, 14-days for online purchases.

Gift cards with no value

When the gift card's value has been spent, please cut your gift card in half diagonally. Your gift card cannot be reused.

Spending in-store

Gift cards are valid in company-owned Jaycar stores and online. Items costing less than the value of the gift card will subtract the amount from the gift card. The resulting balance will remain. If the purchase is greater than the value of the gift card, the entire balance of the gift card will be subtracted and the customer will be asked to provide another form of payment to make up the difference, such as cash, credit card, debit card etc.

Spending online

After proceeding to Checkout, choose Gift Card as your payment method and apply your gift card number. The value of your cart must be equal to, or less than the balance on the card, as multiple tender options or split payments are currently not available online. Any resulting balance will remain.

Alterations to gift card program

Jaycar reserves the right to make changes to the operation of the gift card program.
