The TV antenna socket on your TV normally only receives free terrestrial TV channels from a TV antenna on your roof. It can't be used for pay-TV satellite channels from providers like Sky, as they are encrypted to prevent people from watching them for free.
Some TVs may have a dual-tuner capability that supports Freeview free-to-air channels via satellite natively, so please ask your TV's support provider if you are unsure.
Satellite pay-TV providers like Sky will rent you a satellite decoder box that you plug between the satellite dish socket in your wall and your TV's HDMI input, and you will need to pay them to receive their content.
Sky will normally supply cables with their satellite decoder box. Search for F-plug on our site if you have lost your satellite-to-box cables, or need longer cables.
