You can use Gmail for email notifications from your Concord NVR or DVR system, and you will need an email address configured in the unit if you want to use Dropbox or Google Drive for storage.
Please follow the instructions below to setup Gmail.
1. Visit the following Google website link to generate the App password needed for Gmail email setup on devices: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en-GB
You can setup email on the Concord box from step 2 below onwards, or in the Concord App, by pressing the three-lines menu on the top-left, then Remote Settings->Select device->Email Setting, then do the steps below from step 7 onwards.
2. To set up email on the Concord box, access the Setup menu by clicking on the button at the bottom left of the screen.
3. Click on Setup
4. If prompted, enter the login user and password credentials for your DVR, and then click Unlock.
5. Click on Network at the top of the screen.
6. Select Email on the left menu column.
7. Tick the box to enable email.
8. Set encryption to Auto.
9. Set SMTP port to 00587
11. Enter "smtp.gmail.com" into SMTP server (without the quotes “ ”).
12. Enter your full Gmail address in the User Name field (e.g. email-address@gmail.com).
13. Input the App password generated from step 1 into the Password field (it is usually 4 groups of letters, and can be copy/pasted if you use the App to set up).
14. Enter your full Gmail address in the Sender field (e.g. email-address@gmail.com).
15. Enter the email address you would like to receive the email alerts. (This can be the same as the sender email address)
16. Click on Email Test button.
17. If the email test is successful, click apply at the bottom right to save settings.
